Kasbah Zoo

Kasbah Zoo duo was born around 2007 when 2 djs and producers (Nicolò Simonelli and Alessandro Facco) with two different careers decided to abandon any ongoing project to focus their attention purely on this new project, to bring in the studio their personal experiences to experiment new sound vibes and music concept. His first hit record was in 2010, released on the canadian label Rawthentic Music, owned by the techno known artist Carlo Lio. The track called “La Fameia Zigana” was played and sounded by the best international artists like Marco Carola, Loco Dice, Carl Cox, Ricardo Vilalobos, Nicole Moudaber and many more others. After this imprint arrived in the 2011 a second record that introduced the kasbah zoo project to an even larger crowd. The record’s name was “Palabras” released on the great german label International Freakshow. This record remixed by two of the hottest names of that period, Christian Burkhardt and Romano Alfieri arrived at the high positions on the Decks.de chart and the original mix was played and charted by a lot of big names like Dennis Ferrer, Super Flu, Pan-Pot, Ida Engberg and many others apart the usual Marco Carola and Loco Dice. “Palabras” became an hit during 2011 until to be added on the prestigious SENSATION INNERSPACE Compilation mixed by Fedde Le Grand and Mr.White for ID&T records. After these two great records on INTERNATIONAL FREAKSHOW and RAWTHENTIC MUSIC, Kasbah Zoo released on others great label like the Tiefschwarz’s imprints SOUVENIR MUSIC and SOUVENIR PLUS, INMOTION MUSIC, the legendary u.s. label KING STREET SOUNDS and STREET KING, the Kaiserdisco’s KD MUSIC and more. Among the many artists who have played Kasbah Zoo’s tunes are to remember the UK legends Groove Armada and X-Press 2 and the german BPitch Control owner Ellen Allien and the friends Tiefschwarz. Their stuff arrived many times on Beatport Top100 House, Tech House, Deep House and Indie Dance / Nudisco. They released their tracks with friends and good artists as: Christian Burkhardt, Yaya, Romano Alfieri, The Junkies, Martin Patino, Paul C & Paolo Martini, Hermanez, Doomwork, Bubba, Sierra Sam, Tapesh, Denis Horvat and more. Besides his own career they founded in 2009 their own label called Zoo:Technique that released great tracks by big artists and great friends like M.in, Inxec, Hermanez, Matt Tolfrey, Macromism, James Talk, Arado etc. The label is their great pride in continuous development and expansion. Over and above to be producers, they are first of all DJS.
