PAST LIES IN ASHES … …let your past make you better, not bitter!!! “Rise of the Phoenix” is a simple and short description of the band “Past Lies In Ashes”, founded in the year 2012. By an expansion of technique, music interests and influences of other bands, the 5-piece band “Past lies in Ashes” arised from the original beatdown-hardcore band “Bitch Slap” from Graz in Austria. Already after a while they shared the stage with famous bands like Thy Art Is Murder, As Blood Runs Black, Bermuda, War From A Harolts Mouth, American Me and many more. The visitors, promoters and headliner went crazy about their skills after a short time. Aggressive beatdown lyrics aren't in the flavour of the months, but the deep “G-Tuning” also gives you a back breaking punch in your fucking face. Metalcore-riffs, djent-parts and brutal breakdowns attend, narrated by a brute voice, some truthful as well as abstract stories. The band, formed by Alex, Steve, Dominik, Domi and Benji, is trying a lot of new tricks but they are never loosing their roots. The first debut album “Decide As” and the upcoming musicvideo “Your Heart Knows Best” are available in summer 2K13, and the album 2K14.
