I Claim As Mine

I Claim As Mine, hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, is the result of the creative energies of three local musicians. Starting around 2010, the dynamic trio tirelessly worked to hone their skills and craft original music. Not soon after, ICAM decided it was time to debut the results of their hard work, performing live at several regional venues including RPM's, Castaway's Outside Inn, Aiden's and My Brother's Place. The guys went through a few variations with members of the rhythm section, but in 2012 settled on a combination of the monstrous rumble of Ralph McCartney on bass and the thundering drums of Doug Schmitt. Combine those elements with Frank's ear-splitting guitars plus Dan's scathing lyrics and ICAM is a force to be reckoned. ICAM's music is a marriage of jaw-shattering, solid rhythms, driving guitar riffs and commanding vocals. Offering listeners a throwback to the days of rock gone by when the music still had a big set of balls, the band also weaves in the perfect mixture of a modern rock edge, heralding comparisons to influences including Black Sabbath, Alice in Chains, and Guns N Roses as well as more modern ones such as Shinedown and Five Finger Death Punch. ICAM is currently in the recording studio working on their full-length freshman debut.
