Sounds Of Chaos Biography

Sounds of Chaos, a Tampa based rock band, delivers its music with an introspective look at not only the many sides of chaos surrounding their own lives, but the levels of chaos and emotions surrounding others on a daily basis. The band features some of the hardest hitting veterans of the Tampa/Orlando music scenes, bringing a level of intensity not seen in several years. In a live setting, the band hits like a freight train out of control, but also knows how to pull the reigns back and deliver soul-scintillating music, which connects with the listener on a personal level. James Ryan Vanover (Lead Vocal/Guitar/Writer) marks his return to music after taking a hiatus, which caused him to re-evaluate the direction of his music. After looking in the mirror and deciding he wanted to share his personal experiences with his friends and fans, he set out on a mission to assemble a collection of like-minded musicians to share this vision. "(James Ryan) attempts a wide range of sounds, evident in the song that begins slow and mellow, then catapults into a fierce rage fest as singer James Ryan Vanover wails" - G. Vivenetto (St. Petersburg Times) "James Ryan has raw energy with a heavy dark vibe...he is very memorable, has great energy, and is easy to sing along with." - Taxi.com James Ryan used laser-sharp focus to hone in the talent with which would complete Sounds of Chaos. He joined with previous band members David J. Susuico (Guam) and David Lee Freeman of Life Scorn. David Susuico (Guitar) brings blistering lead solos and a melodic counterpoint to the powerhouse voice of Vanover, while also bringing an accomplished history of writing and performing. David Lee Freeman (Drums) is a beast of musician, whose thunderous pummeling commands attention, while also bringing his experience as a local promoter to the forefront, helping pack venues to capacity. With the recent addition of one of the most innovative and technical bassists in the area, Chris Berry (Fight Another Day), Sounds of Chaos is a force to be reckoned with. Sounds of Chaos released their first EP, “Systematic”, on October 29, 2012. The band recorded the new album at Source Sound Recording with the help of producer Kelly Scott Nunn, the former guitarist for Grammy-nominated bands Underoath and Maylene and the Sons of Disaster. The members of Sounds Of Chaos have collectively toured and played with national recording acts: Saliva, Rehab, Flaw, Cinder, Born Into Kaos, John Oliva's Pain, Presence, Magni-Fi, Lowbrow, Son of a Bad Man and Circle II Circle. In addition, the band has also teamed up with Eric Bice (Saliva/Throwing Gravity/Ke$ha) to engineer the drums on the album at Alien Angel Studios. Eric Bice is also featured on the song “Follow You Down”. This album delivers the same intense, hard-hitting energy, which the band's live shows are recognized. In the coming months Sounds of Chaos will be touring in select cities in Florida and Georgia to support the new album. The music, whether it is being played on ear-numbing levels on your home or car stereo, or in a thrilling live setting, is not to be missed!
