The Bowmans

The Bowmans are a D-I-Y national act. Their music ranges from folky acoustic, harmony-laced ballads to rock songs infused with classical and gospel influences. Their sound has been compared to Gillian Welch, Neil Young and Joni Mitchell, to name a few. Members Sarah and Claire Bowman share an intuitive bond common to twins who have performed together since childhood, and because of this they are clearly always on the same musical page. Sarah's lyrics and vocals range from reminiscently droll to poignantly sublime.


In 2006, The Bowmans toured the US for over four months, both on their own and as support for Rasputina. Later that year they extended their tour to include 35 shows in the UK and Europe.

Following their official April 10, 2007 release of debut album "Far From Home" on Mother West, The Bowmans embarked on another nationwide tour throughout the Spring, followed by more festivals and shows as they headed back to Europe in the Summer.
