BABYLON SAINTS Biography

New Babylon Saint Bio Babylon Saints is reggae/rock with influences coming from the Caribbean, midwestern United States, South America, Africa, and, of course, Southern California. Saints shows are a journey that crosses musical boundaries, cultural divides, and preconceived notions about what good music is supposed to be. Formed in 2009, the Saints wanted to choose a name that encompassed the extreme dichotomy of living life in this modern-day Babylon. Within the name is the suggestion that it is possible to live a positive, forward-thinking existence without adopting the self-serving, overly-competitive principals that seem to dominate the modern-day Babylon system. The music stays positive, but doesn't shy away from the ever-present struggles in our society. The name Babylon Saints is about the inner struggles of mankind, striving to uplift and maintain our integrity amidst the constant, daily barrage of temptation. For now, we may be stuck in Babylon, but we can all rise up and show love to our fellow Babylonians. Over the past few years, Babylon Saints have toured across the United States from California to Oregon, Kansas to Ohio, Pennsylvania to Nevada. Babylon Saints have shared the stage with some truly phenomenal artists including: Dirty Heads Pato Banton Mystic Roots Fortunate Youth Seedless The Divine Crime Project Out of Bounds Indubious Dub Seeds Nada Rasta Ease Up Jah Mex and the Translators Bastard Sons Too Rude The Untouchables FuDogs Meet Me at the Pub Frankie Hernandez State of Jefferson Alcyon Massive Damon Castillo The Originalites Stimey Markos Photinos Their self-titled debut has sold several thousand copies and they're currently working on finishing their follow-up EP.
