ELAH

Elah es una joven banda de rock alternativo establecida en Mazatlán, Sinaloa (México). Desde sus inicios en el 2009, han tocado en diversos lugares ante todo tipo de publico. Aunque ya tenían un repertorio de temas populares decidieron escribir canciones inéditas para su primera producción discográfica. El proceso de grabación los llevó a Los Angeles, California donde conocieron al productor Eli Vargas, el cual fue impactado por la banda y se unió a ella como guitarrista. Eli dirigió la producción y arreglos del álbum junto al multi-talentoso Holger Fath (Rojo, Marcos Witt, Elim Los Angeles, Blest, Emmanuel y Linda, Stan Bush). Tres de los integrantes de Elah, (Agustín, Tomás y Gaby Enciso) son hermanos que desde pequeños están involucrados en la música. Gaby (voz líder y compositora) es Diseñadora y Directora Creativa de profesión, asimismo ha estado involucrada en coros locales y obras de teatro comunitario así como grupos de música congregacional. Agustín (batería), y Tomás (bajo) aprendieron a tocar instrumentos desde niños, juntos, hicieron parte de grupos locales en Mazatlán. Elí Vargas es guitarrista desde los 12 años, también es arreglista y tiene su propio estudio de grabación. La palabra Elah viene del antiguo lenguaje de Arameo se traduce al español como Dios. La banda no pretende llamarse "Dios", más bien, quieren incorporar lo divino a su música y que Dios sea reconocido antes que cualquier nombre de los miembros. En el 2012, lanzaron su primer disco homónimo, esperando alcanzar a todo tipo de audiencia y compartir su música de amor, fe, y esperanza. ______________________________________________________________________ ENGLISH: Elah is a young Latin alternative rock band established in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico.Since its inception in 2009, they have played at various venues before diverse audiences. Although they had a repertoire of popular cover songs for their shows, they decided to write all new songs for their debut album. The recording process took them from Mazatlan to Los Angeles where they met producer Carlos Eli, whom was so inspired by the band that he decided to join them on guitar.Carlos Eli managed the production and arrangements on the album along with the multi-talented musician, Holger Fath (Rojo, Marcos Witt, Kelly Burton, Blest, Emmanuel Y Linda, Stan Bush). Three of the members of Elah, (Agustin, Tomas and Gaby Enciso) are siblings and since their childhood they have always been involved in music. Gaby (lead singer and songwriter) is Designer and Creative Director by trade; she has also been involved in local choirs and community theaters as well as congregational music groups. Agustin (drums), and Tomas (bass), both in college, and learned to play musical instruments since children; together, they were part of local groups in Mazatlan. Carlos Eli Vargas has been a guitarist and arranger for more than 15 years, he also owns a popular recording studio in the Los Angeles area. The word Elah comes from the ancient language of Aramaic, translated into Spanish as “God”. The band does not pretend to call itself "God", rather, they want to incorporate their music that recognizes the divine God, before any member’s name.In 2012, they released their first self-titled album, hoping to reach a diverse audience and share their music of love, faith, hope and rock.
