Mahakala is a heavy metal band from Athens, Greece, driven by the main idea of creating concept albums based on religion and mythology. Having released two EPs: "Mahakala" (Parade Records, 2007) and "Pact With The Devil" (independent, 2009) and a full length album "Devil's Music" (SMC / Secret Port, 2013) and having toured Greece on several occassions (one of which, with black metal legends Rotting Christ), shared the stage with established acts such as Primordial, Trouble, The Devil's Blood (RIP), Grand Magus, Year of the Goat, Dead Can Dance, Obscura and Septicflesh amongst others, and participated in renowned local festivals (Rockwave Festival, Defcon Fest, New Long Fest, Mono Metal, Golden R Festival, Southfest etc) Mahakala has always been a cruel, relentless live act, leaving crowd and critics slack-jawed in astonishment. In the year of our Lord 2017, Mahakala get back in action with a powerful new line-up, setting ground for the release of "The Second Fall", a concept album based on the epic tale of Lucifer's dethronement and severe revenge. Better to reign in hell, than serve in heaven.
