Former MTV VJ. Artist / DJ /Entrepreneur. At a very early age Zoel knew exactly what she wanted. And music has always fueled her passion for it. With that being said, being able to spread her enthusiasm of life and spread this Knowledge of Self preservation is what propels her to constantly seek-out creative expressions. Zoel was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and is known for her captivating music, exciting stage shows and unique style. For the past several years she has being living in the United States and spending most of her time between New York, Buenos Aires and Miami. Zoël's music is a fusion of HipHop, R&B, & Reggaeton, intermixing her lyrics in Spanish and English. FREEDOM is the name of her debut album which is Now Available digitally on ITUNES, AMAZON, and NAPSTER. The music video for her first single called “Ven Conmigo” is airing in mayor TV networks such as MTV Latin, Mund2 Usa and Canal Q in Argentina. FREEDOM has music collaborations with rap legend Sauce Money (known for raping on 3 of Jay-Z award winning albums, along with writing the hit “I’ll be missing you” for Puffy-Daddy), to super producers Midi Mafia (who produced the hit “21 questions” for 50 cent), and Grammy award producer Echo, (best known for winning, Best Urban Music Album for Daddy Yankee's "Barrio Fino"). Zoel has been performing for packed audiences across Latin America and her abilities to captivate crowds and speak to masses became undeniable. Most recently she performed at 2 sold out venues in front of 15,000 people as the opening act for Grammy award Urban Latin artist Vico C in her home country Argentina. She’s also performed there at the 2008 PEPSI Music Festival. In New York City Zoel performed with J Record's R&B superstar Angie Stone during a sold out show at the world famous Apollo Theater. And in Las Vegas, for the Launch Party of BurnLounge as well as 2 consecutive years at the South By South West Music Festival in Texas. She has also performed at many other venues thru-out NYC and Argentina. You can sometimes catch Zoel DJing sets in exclusive clubs all over the world. She also produces and hosts her own weekly radio show called “What’s up con Zoel” which is produced in the USA and broadcasts live on Urbana 89.5 FM and simultaneously on www.urbana895fm.com.ar every Thursday at 6pm. With her hit radio show “What’s Up con Zoel” that first featured in 2005, Zoel very successfully introduced urban music in her hometown of Argentina. It quickly became the most listened to urban music show in Argentina by bringing the urban culture and news to their mainstream. Zoel a former MTV Latino VJ, hosted the 2007 finals for RedBull’s Battle of the MC's (Batalla de los Gallos) in Argentina and performed at the most recent RedBull finals in 2008. Zoel has appeared in Vogue, Flaunt, Mademoiselle, Teen Celebrity and Seventeen magazines; in addition to making cameo appearances in the classic American Soup-Opera “Guiding Light” and Ben Stiller’s classic film “Zoolander”. With articles and mentions throughout many Spanish and English publications, including Rolling Stone Argentina. In between writing and producing her songs, acting, modeling, hosting and Djing; Zoel also scored the pumping hip-hop soundtrack for the award winning feature film “Shadow Boxers”, which made the rounds at top international film festivals, including Cannes, Toronto, Berlin, and New York. Zoel’s original film score won the award for “Best Music in Film” at the CMJ music awards in NYC. The film ”Shadow Boxers” was released theatrically around the world in spring 2002.
