About this concert
Hi folks,the time has come to announce our farewell shows. We were only going to play four of them initially, but had more requests than we expected, so we simply didn't want to pass up the chance to play a lot of shows and give you the chance of seeing us live one last time (or for now). Because who knows when we're going to be able to do this again, right?!It was very important to us to play with bands we like musically or who we are friends with. Since we're working with familiar promoters, we were able to choose a lot of the bands, that are now playing those farewell shows with us, such as Amenra, The Bleeding, Science of Sleep and many more...This will be your last chance to come out and have a blast with us. The set we're going to play will feature a lot of newer material but a good amount of classics as well. We hope to see a lot of you out there, old and new fans alike. Mathematicians and professors of the world, pay attention! WAR FROM A HARLOTS MOUTH are up to be your best pupils. The quintet and it's fierce sound mixture combine the best of technical Mathcore, Hardcore and a spicy pinch of Jazz. WFAHM's debut Lifeforce Records full length "Transmetropolitan" is the perfect soundtrack to any metropolis: Brutal, reckless, experimental and extremely diverse!
The story of WAR FROM A HARLOTS MOUTH began in late 2005 in Germany's capital city of Berlin. Tired of former bands and projects, these five individuals came together with a clear goal: Mixing up Mathcore with an undeniable Hardcore flair and a fine blend of Jazz! WFAHM do not claim to be a band that's true to any kind of genre or style. It is not about any perceived image issue, they are just music fans - not scenesters.
Since WAR FROM A HARLOTS MOUTH uploaded their first few songs on myspace.com, an immense amount of plays and support from fans all over the globe helped to raise the awareness of the band and eventually lead to the release of their Split-CD with Molotov Solution (Twelve Gauge Records). Various shows and festivals across all of Europe followed including extensive tours with Dying Fetus, Skinless, Ion Dissonance, Cephalic Carnage, The Ocean, Burning Skies and The Red Chord helped further the Band's name in the underground Metal and Hardcore scene. Upcoming tours through the USA and Europe and loads of summer festivals are lined up for 2008 as well.
With their undisputed live presence and the onslaught of internet hype, their stunning debut masterpiece "transmetropolitan", their new singer (Nico, The Ocean) and a new album in the works, this band and it's vision seems unstoppable!
