Lynchpyn Biography

Lynchpyn is a new band spawned from the remnants of various bands around the South East. Formed in mid 2012, based in Essex/London and Kent. The band was started by Justin Lloyd aka J.D. Ratt on vocals (previously with Smokin' Barrels, Maelstrom) and Jason Lawrence on drums, also from Smokin' Barrels. Having advertised for musicians both were then introduced to Robert Furman (Furi) from Halo & Unbound Fury, and after having gone through a couple of other guitarists, Paul Cook (Diablo) from Rushhole & Red Thirteen was recruited. The engine of LynchPyn has had an overhaul; hang on to your lug nuts, this is getting extremely heavy. Shortly after the departure of Steve Saunders, due to mysterious and unforeseen circumstances, LynchPyn was blessed with the deep thronging bass lines and energetic stage personae of a man we have come to know quite simply as Kred (Artur Mielczarek). And finally, after the loss of fellow founder Jason, who moved on to pastures new, the final thundering puzzle piece found its way into the powerhouse of rock metal that is, and will continue to be ever evolving and continuously reinventing itself; Lew Retz, the engines core, has arrived, and with his intricate mixture of vintage, and new metal twists, the formula is complete. LYNCHPYN have been writing for a few months now and have a repertoire of great tracks to choose from, combining the essence of many great bands, Killswitch Engage, Fear Factory, Stone Sour, Pantera and Alice in Chains to name but a few, all together having created a sound that has both melody and aggression. Such tracks as “Drop The Blade” which is a down and out metal song with crunching riffs a stabbing stop/start verse and chorus that blends melody with in your face metal, blended with Vocals that growl and purvey your every torment. Or the instantly accessible “Can You Speak Now” which flows effortlessly with chugging guitars and blistering solo combine that with its melodic undertow and pulsating rhythm, this bands music a winner without a doubt. Gigging as of November 2012 ,they are already off to a good start, playing venues such as Scala, O2 Academy Birmingham, The Garage, Nambucca, Monto Water Rats, O2 Academy Islington and Boston Music Rooms whilst still looking to play everywhere they can for the new year. They will be in the studio within the very near future to record their debut EP, in the meantime have produced and released this 2 track CD as a taster of what is to come. The upcoming E.P.; titled 'Rebirth', sums up exactly where the band is........ This is just the beginning!!!
