4th Pyramid

Solo self-taught 16-yr old artist Tenacious P released music under the name '4th Pyramid', in 2000. 4th Pyramid originated in Toronto, Canada. Since 4th Pyramid's single most notable and recent release is an EP titled "Fantazmic", a vinyl-only collectors classic which debuted in September 2005. Fantazmic featured C-Rayz Walz, Akrobatik (the Perceptionists), and Vordul Mega (Canibal Ox). 4th Pyramid is self-produced, self-recorded, self-promoted and self-distributed.

4th Pyramid's first instrumental in 2000 was 'The Light is But the Shade of the Darkness'. It was recorded on a basic home PC, and established a cult-classic status today. Chuck D of Public Enemy handpicked 4th Pyramid's 'Wallabee Strut' as one of the supreme best 100 MP3s of 2000.

In 2001 Tenacious P and C-Ray Walz paired up and established 'The Angel and the Preacher' duo, and released 'Make It Happen' on the Subverse Music record label. 4th Pyramid was the first Canadian artist to be recruited by the Subverse Music label. Tenacious P and C-Ray Walz toured in 2003 along with Raekwon the Chef, of Wu-Tang Clan. Their first track under the Subverse label was 'Aquatic between War With Orcs'.

4th Pyramid was the opening act in 2004 for The Pharcyde, for 11 dates on tour.

In January 2005 a 4th Pyramid mix tape sold out its initial run of 1000 copies in just under than 2 months. Tenacious P made a cameo film appearance as himself, in "My Brother", starring Vanessa Williams, Fredro Starr and Tatum O' Neal.
