DJ D Reddi

BIO DJ Reddi, alias Durwin Wallace, is no stranger to hard work and knowing what it takes to be successful. He has established himself as a performer, an entrepreneur, and a DJ without limits. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, he was exposed to the DJ culture at the age of 10. His uncle introduced the clueless young lad to the wonderful world of records, turntables, and all of the elements involved. Immediately, he fell in love with the control and creativity that can be taken advantage of while being in the DJ position. It was at that time that he began practicing the art form he truly loves. He joined the Navy in 1999, and landed his first residency while being stationed in Gulfport, MS in 2006. Since then he’s performed at some of the hottest night clubs and bars in Jacksonville, Norfolk,VA, New Orleans, LA, San Diego and Los Angeles, CA and Rome, Naples, and Gaeta, Italy. In 2011 DJ Reddi moved to San Diego to enhance his DJ career and become one of the most influential DJ’s in the industry. In 2012 he was honorably discharged from the Navy, and at that point began to pursue his dream as a full time working DJ. A month after he was discharged, he landed the first ever DJ residency at Dave and Busters San Diego. In 2013 he launched a Southern California DJ Competition series with the collaboration of Red Bull and Dave and Busters. With a total of 100 DJ contestants from 4 different cities, the competition opened many doors for the DJ community. DJ Reddi has collaborated with well- known and established DJ’s throughout the Southern California region, and has worked with agencies such as Sleeping Giant Music, TK Productions, Neon Vision Entertainment, Table Manners, Club Killers, DJ City, BPM Supreme and more. In January of 2014, he submitted a video for the DJ City web series “Bedroom Sessions” , and currently it’s the most popular featured video from that series. After achieving his goals in San Diego, in April of 2014 DJ Reddi moved to Naples, Italy. Once there, he set up a base to become a European touring DJ. 2015 is off to a running start, with future bookings in Germany, France, Malta, and the great U.S. of A, and a little secret that will be announced January 7th, 2015. His style and performance can be summed up in one expression, “simply gigantic”. His weapons of choice are two turntables (Technics 1210M5G’s) and a Rane 62 mixer. While performing, he incorporates turntablism and innovative sounds to create an experience like no other. Although there are millions of DJ’s throughout the world, DJ Reddi stands out because of his commanding presence and his attention-seeking performances. The combination of hip-hop, house, EDM, and other popular genres, he creates a nightlife experience you won’t soon forget.
