B Money Biography

Bryan Fahim Jihad Jackson (born September 13th, 1989), better known by his stage name B Money, is a Hip-Hop Recording artist, from the Nicetown section of North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States.

In 2004, B Money met Jadakiss at a Power 99 radio function at King of Prussia mall outside of Philadelphia. He began recording for the label Krazy Kid Entertainment, which he formed in 2006 and released several records, one of them being “Today Was A Great Day”.

A promotional single B Money released, Daily On The Block (featuring Meek Mill and T.I.), produced by Chester, Pennsylvania producer Jahlil Beats, was released in February 2010 on his MySpace and YouTube pages, and his blog, one year prior to Jahlil Beats producing “I'm A Boss” for Meek Mill and Rick Ross, which was featured on the compilation album Self Made Vol. 1, which was released on Ross's Maybach Music Group and Warner Bros. Records. This was one year prior to Jahlil signing with Jay-Z's Roc Nation. Jahlil Beats also went on to achieve Platinum-selling status in 2014 for producing Hot Nigga for Bobby Shmurda. Around this time, it was rumored that he had signed with The Island Def Jam Music Group.

Another promotional single B Money released, Find Balance, produced by Zaytoven, producer for Gucci Mane, was featured on MTV.com. This record placed him at spot #2 on the ReverbNation Philadelphia Hip Hop charts. Around this time, he was contacted by and began working on several records produced by Grammy-nominated KE On The Track, producer for such multi-million artists as Rick Ross and Lil Wayne.

He was interviewed by The Hype Magazine on June 11th, 2013, where he described himself finding his musical talent.

He was advised to begin working on his major label release from Executive Vice President of A&R Urban at Republic Records Naim McNair, and after having a long, conversation via Yahoo and texting with The Weeknd while he was on The Weeknd Fall Tour promoting Kiss Land.

The single, "No Emotion", was produced by Jason Aro of KRRQ, whom has produced for the likes of Waka Flocka Flame and Gunplay from Rick Ross's camp, Maybach Music Group, was released on Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11th, 2014, through the independent imprint No Emotion, with assistance from Universal Music Group. The record was partially mastered by Linette E. Payne, his former manager, whom is mother and currently manager to Chrisette Michele, an American Grammy Award-winning R&B and soul singer-songwriter, signed to Def Jam, who won a Grammy Award for Best Urban/Alternative Performance in 2009 for her song "Be OK". In addition to being available on iTunes, online stores such as Amazon, Jay-Z’s Tidal, and over 15 online music stores such as Rhapsody picked up the record as well; music subscription services and music streaming services internationally picked up the record. The record received spins internationally, as well as garnered attention from Power 99 Philadelphia, B Money’s hometown hip hop radio station. Billboards in his hometown neighborhood of Nicetown in North Philadelphia also began at this time as well.

Around this time, he spoke with Nard and B’s team, Trenchwerk, the multi-Platinum production duo from Atlanta whom produced for the likes of T.I. and Diddy, about producing his upcoming single.

In December 2015, B Money came back with his new record, a trunk-rattler titled "Unstoppable", a record released during the holiday season of 2015, a month and some change after B received a case dismissed for a 3 to 6 year charge he was a fugitive of the law in Philadelphia for. The record's official release date was Tuesday, December 22nd, 2015. Footage of B Money on tour on his way to perform at a venue in Northern Liberties in Philadelphia also was released on this day.
