With an ever growing passion for freedom of self-expression, Jenny Franck is a rising star in an industry otherwise geared towards artist manufacturing.  Her love of rhythm first begin with poetic, lyrical influences ranging from authors like Theodor Seuss Geisel & Shel Silverstein; Edgar Allen Poe to Sylvia Plath; Hunter S Thompson to Leonard Cohen.  Her love for writing music started with the piano, evolving to guitar. Her signature sound is heavy, with a twist of grunge and a voice that captures the soul. Her inspirations have influenced her direction. They are rooted from artists like Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Johnny Cash, Neil Young, Elliott Smith, and Alice in Chains. Her evolution has been personal, musical, and spiritual, in developing her writing along with her collaborative efforts. The passion you hear through her music is done like no other, delivering her life's events and emotions with such intelligence and grace. She says it in style each and every time through some of the best grunge/punk/rock music on the planet. One could clearly identify her growth from her very first commercially released EP (2005) entitled "Nothing Girl". This was followed by her self-titled EP, self-released in 2009. Her "Unplugged" EP self-released in 2011 went through the same process. The contrast from one to the other is inspiring to say the least. Her growth is palatable as her music begins to change its form, as we are constantly in a state of motion. It's a natural progression that Franck has perfected to her audience's delight. Jenny Franck's Latest project, "Beautiful Lies" produced by Jaben Pennell (he co-produced, mixed and played on the theme song on Jackie Chan's latest movie, CZ12).  The first single off the album, (Dark Star Records and Sony Music) entitled "Black Crows", with Michael James (Producer/Mixer/Guitarist, New Radicals, Edwin McCain, Hole, A.J. Croce and founder of IndieProMix) on lead guitar, is one of her songs that tap into a serious, dark place. Lyrically, it is representative of the overall mood of this CD. The fusion of acoustics, electronics and its dark undertone is one of many powerful moments of this song. Shortly after the single was released, her lyric video for Black Crows rapidly climbed to the #1 most popular video in the nation at NME Magazine. Since the release of Beautiful Lies, it has peaked in the top 5 indie charts, along with making it's way into several movie and film soundtracks.  Franck was also most recently considered for a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and Best Rock Song of the Year. Franck continues to develop her place in the music industry while still able to maintain the independence and freedom that allows an artist to grow.  With 5 album releases, Grammy consideration, and major label distribution; the industry is thoughtfully digesting this self-made songwriter's style.  Most appealing to a new generation of artistic innovation, Franck's actions seem to make it impossible to pigeon-hole into one genre other than the indie marketplace.  As audiences are following her journey from the very beginning to her life today; they not only embrace her music, but also her fresh ideas.  Her supporters welcome her and continue to allow her to take them in all directions.
