Sabiyha

Sabiyha is a singer-songwriter from London. A lover and writer of poetry like many of the musicians she admires; Joan Baez, Tom Waits, and Blind Willie Johnson, Sabiyha incorporates a flare for literature and imagination into each song she writes. Whilst her music echoes with the past, Sabiyha pulls these sounds through to the present with her contemporary edge that is unique and ethereal. Sabiyha has performed in session on Yasser’s BBC Asian Network show as well as featuring in Tom Robinson’s BBC6 Playlist, after gaining exposure through her Old Vinyl Factory session. Sabiyha has also recently featured on Shammi Pithia’s No1 iTunes world music album, Cosmic. Sabiyha is a singer-songwriter from London.
