Disco Machine Gun Biography

Formed in late 2008 Disco Machine Gun are an explosive band from the heart or Yorkshire with a pretty impressive track record so far, their distinctive sound has drawn influence from bands such as Doves, Soulwax, Primal Scream & New Order to name but a few they’ve easily made their own unique stamp on the music scene to date. Comprising of 5 members Disco Machine Gun or D>M>G as they are also known are, Matthew Broadbent (Vocals, Guitar, Drum Machine & Percussion), Dean Kelly (Bass, Overdrive, Vocals), Richard Troth (Kaos Pad & Synth), Dave Barwick (Guitars) and Danny Hensby (Drums). D>M>G gigs are more of a cross between a rave and a party than a band performing live on stage, their massive sound accredited to mixing samples with Kaosilator and Synth and standard band back line of Bass, Drums and Guitars. 2009 saw D>M>G go from strength to strength playing the illustrious Bradford St Georges Hall then followed them playing the same bill as Sunshine Underground and Doves at the sold out Bingley Music Live Festival (5000+ capacity) In 2010 the support and reaction from their rapidly growing fan base inspired them into the recording and subsequent release of their debut EP Monitors which was launched with an explosive live performance to several hundred people in their home town. D>M>G have built up a vast support across the North Of England with electrifying gigs at the iconic Fac251 in Manchester and shortly followed by a road trip to the Capital to blow the roof off the Camden Barfly the time has never been more right to take things to the next level. 2011 will see them to play more festivals and get main support slots with touring bands across the country.
