Jeff Radford hails from St. Louis, the Gateway City and the hometown of storied musicians Chuck Berry, Miles Davis, and Ike Turner. Now calling Nashville home, Jeff is emphatically following in the footsteps of those legends that have inspired so many musicians. “I want to create music that both emulates the legends of before while incorporating the new influences of today such as John Mayer, Maroon 5 and Brian McKnight.” Jeff began actively pursuing music at age 15 with his mother’s untimely passing. “I had to transfer schools and it was the first time in my life that I was provided the opportunity to join a choir and partake in voice lessons to hone my craft. It was hard watching her pass at such a young age. It was hard not to cry and hold all of the associated emotions in. I’m not quite sure what would have become of me without music in my life.” “Something clicked when my mom passed away. I felt this was the path God wanted me to take when I found choir and the chance to sing everyday; to perform and touch people in a very special way. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to audition and be selected for Missouri’s All-State choir. That’s when I knew this is what I’m supposed to do. ” Hot off the heels of releasing his debut album, Taken, Jeff is already catching the attention of many and turning heads.
