Orange Peel

Orange Peel formed in May 2010. Since the formation the band has composed as well as worked on cover versions which they combine during live shows adapting to venues and crowds. The band has taken part in several competitions obtaining the following results: 2010 2nd Place – Rock On The Rock, Annual Battle of the Bands. 2011 2nd Place – Rock On The Rock, Annual Battle of the Bands. 2011 4th Place (of 70 bands) – Duendes Copas (Estepona), Battle of the Bands sponsored by Musisol. 2012 1st Place – Rock On The Rock, Annual Battle of the Bands. 2012 1st Place – Sotogrande, Battle of the Bands. Over the 3 years since their formation Orange Peel has tried their best to promote themselves whenever and wherever possible. Having played gigs locally the band broadened horizons to play abroad in Spain at the following venues: Sala Milwaukee (Puerto Santa Maria) Soviet Bar (La Linea) Rockzone (La Linea) Louie Louie Rock Bar (Estepona) Duendes Copas (Estepona) Explorarte Festival – Bullring (Estepona) La Cripta (Cadiz) Sala Underground (Sevilla) Sala Studio 41 (Malaga) Artestacion (Alora, Malaga) Vibes Bar (Mijas) Live Music Spain Festival (Bellavista Camping, Manilva) After winning the 2012 local Battle of the Bands the band set out to use the prize money to record their debut album ‘Bing Bing’ which was launched May 2013 to a packed audience at Rock on the Rock club. A video for the single ‘Little Creature’ was recorded and released online getting over 3000 hits on Youtube in a question of days. The band have been interviewed and had music aired on GBC-Radio Gibraltar, Radio La Linea, Radio Estepona, Castle Fm Radio, El Intercambio Radio as well as various internet radio’s. Orange Peel are hoping to be able to promote their music further in Portugal and the UK and are currently in talks with bands and promoters in order to make this possible.
