Bugaboh & Afrodite

As audiophiles, these two are on a mission to share the pleasure of music with every audience they encounter. Together they percolate the energy and prowess of drum n bass' Dj Zinc, the melodic intricacies of techno's Paul Kalkbrenner and the smoky tones of Sade and Randy Crawford. These are the sounds of Bugaboh & Afrodite, the London based duo comprised of Dj Bugaboh (Czech) and Afrodite (Australia). The two met at the filming of a Bloody Beetroots music clip and it was instant chemistry. Shortly after, they performed at the legendary Chapeau Rouge in Prague, with that Bugaboh & Afrodite came into existence. They make a blend of exciting live performance that translates into an energetic party atmosphere. Bugaboh brings a cross section of musical genres from drum'n'bass, house, electro, techno and global beats to create a high energy Dj set whilst Afrodite's addition of live vocals help to capture the crowd. It wasn't alway smooth sailing though, due to visa issues, they were forced to spend two years soul searching in the antipodes. Bugaboh & Afrodite have returned with a clear vision and are working on original material whilst playing in London as well as mainland Europe. Under the name of "Pleasures they are promoting their own nights in East London and have just performed at one some of the biggest electronic music festivals in Central Europe, Beats4Love 2016 and Let It Roll On Tour 2017. In May 2017 they have had released their first remix of Mr Fernandez' "Ode 2 Spring". Together they percolate the energy and prowess of drum n bass' Dj Zinc, the melodic intricacies of techno's Paul Kalkbrenner and the smoky tones of the jazzy and soulful Sade and Randy Crawford.
