The Revision Plan Biography

The Midwest is a thing of beauty. It’s a place characterized by hard work, simplicity, adversity, and triumph. It’s plain to see that the raw, yet inspired sound of the Revision Plan could not come from any place else. With heartfelt lyrics and a driving punk rock sound, this band is just as much at home on a big venue stage as it is in a cramped, sweaty basement show. Drawing influence from bands like the Lawrence Arms and Hot Water Music, the Revision Plan has combined their dynamic punk rock sound with the more alternative rock sound of bands like Jimmy Eat World and The Ataris. “This three piece musical outfit has enough bite to survive the rough and tumble world of punk, but is not so abrasive as to miss out on pulling in fans from the more poppy end of the spectrum, making for a harmonious blend of the tough and the touchy-feely.” -Reviewsic.com Scream Suburbia, the Chicago band’s latest EP, is undoubtedly their most outstanding, mature release yet. The lyrics focus on childhood and life growing up in a small town, friendship, love, and heartbreak all put to the tune of catchy, powerful Midwestern punk rock anthems. “Sometimes when the music is heartfelt and filled with so many hooks to draw you in, it simply doesn’t matter and you lose yourself in the moment, as I did listening to it. This is what good music does.” -Vinylstereo.com Since 2009, the Revision Plan has been doing small regional tours throughout the Eastern and Midwestern U.S. as well as playing shows throughout the Chicagoland area. The band has opened for national touring acts such as American Steel (Fat Wreck Chords), Heartsounds (Epitaph), Red City Radio (Paper+Plastick) The Copyrights (Red Scare), Banquets (Black Numbers), Hold Tight! (Animal Style), Arms Aloft (Kiss of Death), and more. 2006-2013 | Escape Artist out now at http://therevisionplan.bandcamp.com | Follow us on Twitter @therevisionplan
