2nd & Broadway

2nd & Broadway is an Alternative / Folk Rock trio playing out of Nashville, TN, Cincinnati, OH, and Lexington, KY. We live in 3 different states. Their influences are Mumford & Sons, The Black Keys, John Mayer, The Civil Wars, The Lumineers, and many others. The band formed early of 2012 when they decided to take a trip to Nashville, TN for the weekend. It was there that they decided to form a band and bring their musical talents together to form what is 2nd & Broadway. You may ask and wonder where the band name came from. When Ryan, Chris, and Clint all went to Nashville that one weekend, it was at the Hard Rock Cafe that they decided to finally form a band. The Hard Rock is located at the corner of 2nd Ave and Broadway. Also, they were big fans of the song "Pocket Change" written by Josh Damigo which in the first few lines he sings: Second Street and Broadway, there's a little bus stop Just an ordinary downtown of a city just around the block Jay picks up a six-string, he starts to sing the blues Plays the King, a little bit of old school, and a couple of new ones too The band took to those lyrics and it was from those two things that they came up with the name: 2nd & Broadway They are currently writing and recording for their first album.
