Flesh and Stone Biography

In the sea of bass-thumping clubs, percussion-laden Latin rhythms emanating from various kiosks and the neon-glazed sexy nightlife in Miami, metal and hard rock seem almost mythical to come across in the sun-drenched, insomniac city. Yet amongst the palm trees and the glitz and glamour of South Beach, hard rock has found a way to thrive. Flesh and Stone was formed in the summer of 2011 with one objective in mind: to be the next big rock band that will put Miami back on the map as an environment ripe for heavy music. “We wanted to create something that even people who hardly listen to rock music can easily digest and enjoy the music as it is, yet we still are making the music that we love first.” – Giovanni Angel Their debut EP titled “This Day Is Mine” showcases their signature style and gives a taste of what’s to come from this quartet. Flesh And Stone will enter the studio once again in early 2013 to record a full-length album. Flesh and Stone is influenced by the best of multiple genres of metal and hard rock music. From Breaking Benjamin to Gojira, from In Flames to Avenged Sevenfold, the sonic signature of Flesh and Stone is an exceptional melding of melodious yet sledgehammer-heavy guitar riffs pickled with lightning fast guitar solos, creative and punishing drum work, earth shaking virtuous bass lines and soaring dynamic vocal melodies. The band’s lyrical content speaks of finding the spark within oneself to trudge on in the midst of surmounting defeat. To become renewed, breaching from one’s inner chrysalis. Finding freedom by traversing the unknown without fear. Flesh and Stone is quickly becoming one of the premier local rock acts to see in the few venues left in the Miami area that cater to live bands. Flesh and stone has played in venues such as: Club Eve, Churchill’s Pub, The Armory Studios, The Florida Native Tap Room and even at Affliction, where they showcased their entire catalog to a packed store in the heart of South Beach. The members of the band are no strangers of the music scene, having been actively playing live shows for almost a decade; these musicians have played alongside many national acts with their other bands in the past. Flesh and Stone is now pushing the bar to what a local band can accomplish in such a short amount of time. The band is now planning a tour of the Southeastern U.S. and eventually the East Coast. A new promising modern rock band from Miami Beach, FL. Their debut EP "This Day Is Mine" is out now on iTunes, Spotify and much more! http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/fleshandstone
