Deformity

Deformity- In 1990 three guys under the influence of Sepultura, Pantera, Anthrax , Testament, Slayer formed the band «Karfagen » (Eremeev Max – guitar, vocal; Nikulin Vladimir – bass; Mironuk Zahar – percussion instruments) in Sovetsk of Kaliningrad region. The band existed for 3 years. Some members of the band weren’t satisfied with concerts and music, and that’s why Nikulin Vladimir (bass) and Mironuk Zahar (percussion instruments) decided to form their own band, which style of music was more heavy and popular then. The name came to mind immediately – DEFORMITY, the music which was ugly for human perception. In 1994 the guys came at Music College and brought together the band: Nikulin Vladimir – solo, vocal; Shemelev Nikolay – beat; Petrov Dmitry – bass; Lupinosova Svetlana – keyboard instruments; Lupinosova Nadya – flute. At first Deformity played melodic Death Metal. The band was very successful at concerts and festivals in Kaliningrad ,Lithuania, Latvia and Eastern Europe. In 2000 an accident happened in the band: on October 5 Shemelev Nikolay (rhythm guitar) died. The band was close to breakdown. Only Nikulin Vladimir stayed in the band. But it was necessary to organize a concert in memory of Nikolay, and Vladimir took a guitarist (Garshin Alexander) and a drummer (Egorov Igor) from the band "TERRITORY" , and a bass guitarist (Shevchenko Eugeny) . Since then DEFORMITY began to play a new style – THRASH METAL . Alexander Garshin became responsible for vocal and rhythm. The songs one by one began to gain ground and the number of fans increased day by day! In 2004 bass guitarist Shevchenko Eugene officially left the band and went into business. Varukhin Sergey took his place. In 2005 Egorov Igor left the band and the first drummer Mironuk Zahar came back and took his place. A year later he decided to stop playing the percussion instruments and made up his mind to stay as a poet of the band (the majority of the lyrics is his merit). In 2006 Platonov Alexander took his place. The band gained strength and appeared on stage during bike shows, festivals and concerts as headliners. From 2008 to 2011 the band toured a lot: Kaliningrad, Smolensk,Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania,Poland...all hard to remember. But then Platonov Alexander left the band and a young, firm of purpose, highly skilled Radchenko Alexey took his place. He formed a new drum set and the band went to a recording studio to record the album «When tomorrow comes». After recording the album the band gave the concerts in Russia and Byelorussia and also made a music video. Now DEFORMITY is working on a new album and music videos. In August 2012 went to the new release "When tomorrow comes" and Russian band "DeformitY" has inked a worldwide management deal with GlobMetal Promotions.
