Eyes Once Mine Biography

Eyes Once Mine is a five piece metal band, with all current members hailing from the tiny village known as Dexter, Michigan. The band formed in late spring of 2011 when lead vocalist Corey Presley contacted guitarist Brandon Kryzaniak looking to start something new. Drummer Kyle Hargrove and guitarist Ryan Steinbach joined shortly after, followed by bassist and clean singer Josh Strickland. Their first single "Decades" was released Thanksgiving weekend along with the creation of a Facebook page. The page reached roughly 400-500 likes within just a few days of releasing "Decades" and the band began to focus on just playing shows and finding their "sound" February of 2012 the band traveled back to Zoinga Studios and recorded Sleepwater and Slender Man. Both were released within two months of each other, and out of the two, Slender Man gained the most attention. To this day, Slender Man is still a fan favorite. During the spring and summer of 2012 founding guitarist Brandon decided to leave the band and his spot was then filled by Mickey Stimac. Eyes Once Mine continued to play songs and even write a new single with Mickey. Mickeys time in the band however was short lived when he decided that he was going to leave in the fall of 2012 and pursue college. Mickey was then replaced by Tony Tomshany who still holds his place as lead/ rhythm guitarist to this day. Practicing and writing were now the main focus and making sure Tony was caught up on all of the original songs became a priority to become show ready once again. Shortly after Tony had joined, Eyes Once Mine recorded their fourth single Arts & Aircrafts at Wall of Sound Studios. Not long after recording Arts and Aircrafts, Corey and Josh wanted to go a different direction musically and decided to leave the band at the beginning of November and due to extreme member changes, writing of new material and a total musical style change "Arts & Air Crafts" was never released to the public. Wesley Coy (former vocalist from Ryan and Kyle's previous band, In the Name of the King) took over as the vocalist and clean singer not long after Josh and Corey left the band and after a few weeks passed, Jason Morgan contacted the band and became the new bassist. Eyes Once Mine went back to Wall of Sound to record a fifth single "Realize" in early 2013. After the release of "Realize" Eyes Once Mine became show ready once more and hit the stages hard with their new sound. After playing shows for a few months Eyes Once Mine decided that they wanted to stop putting out singles and record their first CD and in early July (2013) they traveled down to Vibe studios in Ohio and recorded a 5 track E.P. Later in the fall the band played two of their biggest shows (Ice Nine Kills: The Predatour & I See Stars: Started From The Bottom Now We're Here Tour) both at the Crofoot in Pontiac, Michigan. Having only released a single (Oasis) off of their new EP, the band decided to have the album re-amped and mixed/mastered with the addition of two new songs. Because of member differences, before returning to Vibe studios, the final member change occurred when Jason Morgan was replaced by bassist Jake Frankford. Eyes Once Mine's: 'The Echo That Caused The Avalanche' is being released on May 29th and the band is back to hitting the stage hard with a new set list, image, and attitude. Get ready, because the future is filled with more exciting things to come. People are going to want to see them. They take everything out during their live performances. ~We Will Live Eternally~ Hit us up: eyesoncemine@gmail.com "The Echo That Caused The Avalanche" now available on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, Amazon MP3, and Bandcamp
