Polygasm Biography
Biography Polygasm are an all-singing, all-partying 4-piece power-pop/rock band from inner Melbourne. They are highly energetic, impossible to ignore, seasoned performers and talented musicians to boot. Rock'n'roll antics, catchy melodies, crowd interaction and stunningly delivered harmonies make for a smiling, singing and booty-shaking crowd. Combined with their 4-part harmonies, Polygasm make for an eclectic mix of do-wop, classic rock’n’roll, hard rock, blues, jazz and pop. Throw in a decent dose of silliness and humour and you get a Polygasm show. Polygasm’s diversity of experience in the music scene is what keeps their music fresh and fun; Shanti, a multi-instrumentalist, also performs as a solo artist and plays drums with all-girl marching band, The Red Brigade. Ralph has spent half a lifetime drumming his way through the Melbourne rock scene and is called upon frequently as a fill-in drummer for many Melbourne bands. Simon also plays in noise-rock act Silence Dead Silence and has for the past decade written and performed for the Melbourne Comedy Festival. Aaron has a great talent for many differing styles including jazz, soul, funk and folk, and with his diverse vocal styles, he is regularly called upon for collaborations. He also plays solo shows with his trusty acoustic guitar. They all sing, they all rock, and they all have a good time doing it.
