Macrocosm Metal

Formed from ex members of Gravel Blaster, Dead Bird, Razor Fate, Blunt Force, Phanx, Bury The Enemy, Iron Clad, and more, we are a band that incorporates elements of death/thrash/black metal into songs that deal with various aspects of humanity, often from the viewpoint of alien visitors. In the summer of 2009, drummer Jim Smithson began jamming with guitarist William Lafferty with Erick Smithson on bass. They wrote a few songs and decided to look for a vocalist. They called up Robert Williams, and the band began playing shows a month later. This continued regularly, and in March of 2011, Jay Minish joined on guitar. We began recording in our spare time between shows and day jobs, and in March of 2013, we released "None Shall Survive," an 8-song album that was self-produced by the band. Unfortunately, during the recording process, William had to leave the band because of a job opportunity. His contributions to the band are preserved on the recording and he remains a friend of the band. We also thank our friend and former guitarist Josh Hellstorm of Angel Flesh, who we had some great shows with as well. In April 2014 Josh Hellstorm rejoined the band , on june 6 ,Ty Smith joined us on stage for the first time after being in the band for only 9 days . Ty leaves the band . Then our good friend/roadie Jon Walters steps up to the mic for 2 shows. Then Erick leaves macrocosm shortly after that .Josh moves to bass and vocals we go on like that for a while then Nocona Ridge from living undead zombies steps in on 2nd guitar . He kicks it with us for about a year then moves off . Then Josh leaves the band .we go. On a hiatus for about six months then regroup with Nocona again but he had to move again . Then comes in Ricky Cash from blunt force on Vocals and Landon Burch on bass . And that's how we are rolling now ......till we trick Nocona to move back . We have played numerous shows since forming, and have had the honor of sharing the stage with both national and regional bands such as: Exodus, Origin, Vital Remains, Cattle Decapitation, Decrepit Birth, Abysmal Dawn, Vore, Epoch of Unlight, as well as many killer local bands in the Northwest Arkansas region. knuckle dragging krunk a.f. metal
