Villainous

Villainous formed in October of 2011 with the goal to go beyond genre limits and meld their favorite forms of music into a single entity with an emphasis on creating music that was not just heavy but beautifully melodic and saturated with various emotions. The end result is a mixture of European Melodic Death Metal, Thrash Metal, Progressive Metal and the more American Metalcore/Deathcore styles. In the short time Villainous has been together they've played impressive shows including being the first band since Rage Against the Machine to play the Idaho State Penitentiary. The event, a charity fundraiser created in part by Villainous vocalist Josh "Tex" Hudgins and Growing Change Inc., was an effort to raise money to send a new water filtration system to 3rd world countries and was sponsored by Ninkasi Brewing Inc. Villainous is very active playing multiple shows around Idaho including opening for touring acts such as Dillinger Escape Plan, the Faceless, Lich King, Royal Thunder and more with plans to expand to surrounding states, record an EP and release a music video in 2013. Villainous is a Progressive Melodic Death Metal band from Boise, Idaho.
