Lost Area Biography

At the end of 2003 the Band LOST AREA was founded. In the springtime of 2005 the EP „Gabriel“ was released which showed a remarkable musical range. LOST AREA met their goal: driving beats and powerful synthie floors alternated with ballad-like titles which really had great emotional impact. The song „Painbringer“ evolved to a real club hit. After numerous sampler contributions and several remixes for other bands the first regular long-player with the titel „Dare To Dream“ was released in November 2006. Provided with remix contributions from Blutengel, Cephalgy, Accessory and many others the album caused attracting attention. LOST AREA then consistently carried on the promising concept „Electro Meets Emotion“ and brought it to perfection. Already to that time their music has featured everything what fans expect from demanding and contemporary Electro. So LOST AREA was also under observation by the media. RADIO ENERGY introduced the Band in its Morningshow amongst others as Newcomer 2007 and offered songs for downloading. Only a few hours after the introduction the songs had been downloaded by users more than 700 times. That this was not just a flash in the pan the band then proved with several chart placements in several internet radios like „Hazzard of Darkness“. In the summer of 2007 the founder members Jan Moser and singer Daniela Dietz decided to leave the band because of job-related reasons. Although LOST AREA had to get along without lead voices there was no reason to end the project. After only a short time the band around mastermind Jan Bertram succeeded to attract Asli Gerhardt as new singer. To that time all band members were aware of that this change would be a kind of a new beginning. The greater was the gladness as the new voices were positively welcomed by the press and the fans! They showcased after a short time their first creation in the new lineup. „Changes“ reflects the development of the band and satisfied in everything. This was recognized by the specialized press which regularly reports about LOST AREA. The band is currently working hard on the new album which shall be released in 2008! The upcoming album with the title „Man Machine“ is being produced by Dirk Steyer also known by its music project Accessory. That LOST AREA is willing to completely break new musical ground is shown amongst others in its new song „Amnesia“. For this Robert Klausch was attracted, guitar player in the Europe-wide known Berlin Gothic rock band Scream Silence, a adept in his profession, who specially recorded the guitar passages. We could expect the premiere of an elaborated video additionally to the album. That LOST AREA is also professionally supported in the fields of photography and video is impressively proved by the artistically matured works of the renowned photographer Annie Bertram. She is responsible for the complete band pictures as well as for the web design of the band homepage. LOST AREA are in first place a live act. They understand to quickly and convincingly cast a spell over the audience with their impressive performance and the four charismatic characters of the band.
