Shield of Salvation

First and foremost, Shield Of Salvation strives to be a beacon of light in a darkening industry and world by keeping Yahshua Christ first and foremost in all aspects of our daily lives and throughout our musical journey. Compromise is unacceptable and we ask for continuous prayer that we stay strong and steadfast in our daily walk with Christ and that the message of the love of Christ is clear throughout all our music. SOS members are like-minded Christians who love Jesus, love the gift of music He has given them and wants to spread that love by sharing the gospel through their music to the world. We believe in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus and that He is the only begotten Son of God. We believe that salvation can only be obtained through the shed blood of Jesus for the remission of our sins and not through just being a good person and that the life of a true believer will show the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Our mission is to remind the church that we are one body in Christ and only by working together across denominations and showing each other the love Christ has shown us may we show non-believers the truth that Jesus loves them also, is the Son of God, and only through His death and resurrection will they find peace and eternal life. That being said... Shield Of Salvation is a talented up and coming Christian Rock band from North Carolina who has already shared the stage with national acts such as John James of the Newsboys, Project 86, Bernard Harris, Submission Red, Righteous Vendetta, Willet, The Overseer, We Are Leo and Bloodline Severed. Everywhere they go they are hailed as a group who easily shows their versatility and ability to appeal to fans of all genres and walks of life and are highly respected in both the Christian and secular music worlds for their music and genuine, down to earth attitudes. The members come from many different musical backgrounds and have used that as a jumping off point to find new ways to glorify Christ through music. Nominated for the 2011 and 2012 Charlotte Music Awards 'Best Christian Artist' category, SOS formed in mid 2010, signed with TMG within 5 months and spent 6 months in studio laying down their first album, Battle In The Ring which was released in November 2011 nationally to kick off an East Coast tour that began in March 2012 and finished in October. The first song finished, Listen To Christ, went to #1 on the local Christian charts at Reverb Nation and was in the top 700 in the global Christian charts in a matter of weeks. "What About God" is their first single release and can be found online and at several stores in North and South Carolina. SOS may also be heard on several college, internet, AM and FM radio stations across the USA. SOS is currently in pre production working on their full length sophomore album scheduled for a spring 2013 release and will focus on modern pop/rock, worship and post hardcore metal to show another facet to this talented group.
