iLLFX started two years ago in Covina , California , when a group of friends discovered a passion for writing music together. Kenny Reitan - bass, Alex Endonino - lead guitar, Brian Cook - keys and guitar, and C-Rod - MC Vocals, are the founding members. After jamming for months and mixing the sounds of rock and hip hop, Nicky Triggz, drummer, made his way into the band. In the mean time, C-Rod’s cousin, Mark Vasquez, aka Rebellion, was playing solo acoustic guitar all over the San Gabriel Valley . Rebellion was asked by C-Rod to join the band. Rebellion jumped at the offer and the rest is history. Our favorite part of being in this band is watching our own music grow into something we are all proud of. At first, we were unsure of the type of musical style that fit us because we all had very different musical backgrounds and we had different personal tastes in music. But we found that our different backgrounds and styles are what make us unique and they make us different from a lot of other bands. The mixture of reggae and hip hop and rock is a powerful combination of music and this combination cannot be forced. It is more natural flow for us and it is what makes us gel together. We are currently performing all around Southern California, it is our hope that we can play bigger shows for a larger fan base and we want to continue what we love on an even larger scale. So far we have played a few shows that really gave us the oppurtunity to play in front of large crowds for bands such as, Band Brains, Aggrolites and coming up, Unwritten Law. On the horizon we see an opportunity to make a living off what we love to do everyday, play shows with big name artist and getting the chance to tour our music around the world.
