Up In Arms Biography

Up In Arms is a pop-rock act based out of Springfield, IL. The band was formed in the Fall of 2011 by Paul Bill, Jared McDonald, Brendan Antonacci and Gino Serra. The group is heavily influenced by mainstream bands like Blink-182, Green Day, Fall Out Boy, All Time Low, and New Found Glory while still bringing individuality and a signature sound to a genre that has slowly began to dwindle in the modern rock era. The boys have created a following throughout central Illinois via their energetic live performance and catchy rock melodies that are comfortably reminiscent of the pop-punk heyday of the late 90's. Up In Arms released their debut EP “Glory Days” in the Summer of 2012 and the EP was very well received. Rocksposure.com reviewed the EP and stated “Good pop-punk music like Up In Arms is writing might just be the perfect gateway drug to start winning back more fans to the rock genre.” The album was released on most online music markets such as iTunes and Amazon, and the band had a hard time keeping hard copies in their merch stand due to the large demand for the 6 track disc. After the release, Up In Arms hit the road to support their album and spread their music to a larger crowd. Plans for 2013 are well underway, including more shows, a full line of merchandise, a three week midwest tour in June, and a brand new full length album. Until then, keep yourself updated on upcoming events/releases, and we will see you at the shows! UP IN ARMS 2012 Jared • Brendan • Gino • Zach
