Costellar

Initially the solo project of northern Michigan singer/songwriter Danny Vail, Costellar formed in 2008 and released its proper debut "Vacation" in December of 2011. In the time since, the project has experienced a multitude of lineup changes, has earned regional radio play for its debut single "The Beach," and has had the opportunity to open for national acts such as Rookie of the Year, Hawthorne Heights, Famous Last Words, Broadway, These Hearts, Chasing Safety and others. After a year-long hiatus in 2014, Costellar has returned with a sophomore album titled You Are Always On My Mind. The new album, while consciously staying true to the project's uptempo pop-punk roots, expands on its established sound with emotionally charged lyrical content and vocal performances, strings, synths and auxiliary percussion which add previously unheard textures to the music, and an earnest, honest brand of songwriting that will bring listeners back for repeated listens for years to come. The self-produced album was released October 23, 2015 to all major online retailers and streaming services and features lead single "Independence Day."
