Hangman's Heart Biography

Hangman's Heart was born in late 2009 when Rob, Mick, and Aaron left Scarred Theory to start a new project. They began the search for a lead guitarist and quickly found what they were looking for in Rocco Rich. Rocco was well known in the local scene and fit right in. After 2 years, an EP, and several shows, they decided to add another guitarist to the line up. Alex Faucett then joined the group. The combination of thoughts and influences from each member left you with a hard rock sound drawn from every avenue of music. A mixture of throw-back eighties riffs and modern day sing-a-long rants gave them a nostalgic feel with a new edge. With a reputation for incredibly energetic live shows, Hangman's Heart quickly became a staple in the CNY music scene, playing all over the area and being featured several times on local radio. Collectively, the members of Hangman's Heart have extensive stage and musical experience, sharing the stage with dozens of local and regional bands, as well as national acts like The X's (featuring Brett Scallions of Fuel,) Stemm, and Taproot. Their debut EP titled " Fistfights and Lullabies" was released in March 2011. Mick left the band in the summer of 2013 and was replaced by Bill Reynolds. Hangman's Heart disbanded one year later, playing their final show in July of 2014. Aaron formed the country rock band Small Town Shade with his cousin, Nick Stark, in 2015. Rocco and Mick soon joined STS. That project disbanded in March of 2019. Aaron, Rocco and Mick have recently reunited with Rob and Alex to bring Hangman's Heart back to life. They are currently writing and recording a long-awaited follow up to their 2011 debut EP.
