Kisses For Charity Biography

Having only been a band since March 2011, Kisses For Charity has developed a rapid growing fan base in the Metro Detroit area and have shared the stage with notable acts. With high energy and catchy hooks, don't be surprised to find these guys on your playlist with other Powerpop/Rock bands. The band just released their debut EP This One's For You and plans on touring with it for the next couple months. Kisses For Charity has proven regional success as a new band by recently winning the Flint Throwdown with a week of airplay on 101.5 Banana, receiving daily rotation on 102.1 WLEW, and sharing the stage with national recording artists including Ryan Cabrera (Atlantic Records), Jon Walker (Former Panic At The Disco), William Beckett (from The Academy Is), Rookie of the Year (Ibot Records) and many others. Kisses For Charity in itself is a family (literally). David and his two cousins Mike and Matt (twins) all grew up together with a love for music. Eventually the three came together to start a band with high hopes and dreams. They remain an incredibly busy schedule with constantly touring every weekend while still remaining full-time students at the prestigious University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. The band has taken advantage of their new college town with a growing popular name on campus. The name's a spin off of what the bands actually about. Frontman David Siev named the band off an ICarly episode, never aware that the band would actually be all about giving to charity. Before Kisses For Charity was formed as a full band with the line up they have now, David Siev put on self-promoted charity benefit shows to help raise money for world wide organizations including Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention, JP.Haitian Relief Organization, Blood Water, Smiles For Christmas, and many more. The amount of dollars and help that Kisses For Charity helped raise so far exceeds well over $2500. As the band's success continues to grow, they hope they can continue to help others through their passion of music.
