Doomsday Machine Biography
Doomsday Machine was started in early December of 2011. The goal was to blend a mix of classical and modern metal to craft a unique sound from many different influences. Doomsday Machine had to go through many members in order to find the perfect blend they were looking for, but the searching paid off, and we bring you the lineup we have today. Jimmy Cohaguila was born in Peru and moved to the United States in his early twenties. Not to long after that the need to start playing music grew and so the search for like minded musicians began. There was but one goal in mind, find seriously dedicated people that were in it for the love of writing and playing music live. Soon after Doomsday Machine began to form, but not after some trial and error. After various practices, with many different musician's, Jimmy Soon came across Michael Gibilisco. Michael had been playing in multiple bands, both signed and unsigned, since the age of 13. After the first time they played together something clicked and the next gear in the Machine was placed. Michael was able to deliver on the blazing riffs and brutal breakdowns that were required to build the band to the next stage. More time passed and soon the search for a vocalist came to an end. In late 2012 Mykael Dugan joined after a recent departure from another band. Mykael has been active in the local Connecticut metal scene for many years and has filled various roles in over 10 different bands such as Agrippa93, Forever Forbidden, The Return to Plague thy Inventor and A War Amongst the Trees. He had the experience that Doomsday Machine was looking for and the drive to keep pushing forward. In September 2013 Mykael took on the role of writing and playing bass for the band as well. Doomsday Machine is in the process of recording a full length album due out Winter/Spring 2014 and is constantly booking shows wherever they can.
