the JOB (the Jay Orrell Band)

The Jay Orrell Band is the culmination of the musical career of its namesake, Jay Orrell. Jay has been making music since he was old enough to play drums on pots and pans and reach the keys of a piano. Some people are just born with musical talent, and it was evident early-on that Jay was talented. With the help of supportive parents, Jay pursued a life enriched with music and art (another amazing talent) and made it his career. Having graduated from the Art Institute in Philadelphia, he was already making a name for himself in various local music scenes, from his home town in Rockland County, to Philly, to Scranton/Wilkes Barre and in-between; people were taking notice of how this young guy could sing like Bon Jovi and had the look and rock star personality to match. His talents in art also afforded him many opportunities to pursue a promising career, but his love was and still is music. As well as The J.O.B., Jay has played in several original and cover bands over the years as well as his current solo gig. Names like Dashboard Mary, Fuzzpipe, Damzil, Severe, just to name a few, span the career of an accomplished musician, family man, and a guy who has always just wanted to make people happy by sharing his love of music.
