Groovy Cuvy

Beggining his journey in 1999, Adam Cuvilier came upon Edmonton’s electronic music scene when he moved there from Nova Scotia. Cuvy began frequenting clubs, parties and festivals in early 2000 and his love for music and the electronic vibe propelled him to start the craft of Djing in 2002. in late 2002, Groovy Cuvy began a radio show at CJSR 88.5FM in Edmonton, Canada. Smooth Radio was a live to air electronic show with co-host Avrum Gold which aired Wednesday late Night from 1-430am. The show ran from 2002 through 2007. In 2005, Cuvy was the man behind a staple Edmonton electronic club called Level 2 Lounge which ran from 2005-2014 and saw many international headliners and local heavy weights grace the stage and was avenue for Cuvy to extend his passion for music to the patrons. After Level 2 was sold in 2014 and taking 6 months off from bar ownership, Cuvy teamed up with Mr Wedge and Ryan Vickers and bought live music venue Filthy Mcnasty’s on Whtye Avenue in Edmonton taking on new challenges. Cuvy’s sound has been very eclectic over the years from hard house in the early days, to breaks, progressive house, minimal, techno, house and more. Cuvy’s been very passionate about Nu Disco and Deep House the past few years. Cuvy’s productions have seen him sign on with numerous labels over the years, as well as getting mentions in IDJ, DJ Mag Canada, Computer Music Magazine and More. Locally he has DJed live on Breakfast Television, as well as DJed events on the HMV Stage at West Edmonton Mall in Support of the Stolliery Children’s Hospital as well as clubs and after-hours.
