Breed of Burden Biography

Early years: Breed of Burden started on in 2010 as a solo project of Aladdin who was living in France at that time. Aladdin aimed to bring his ideas to life and experiment his own vision of metal. When Aladdin realized his first demo “Tantrum”, he was forced to slow down his musical ambitions due to personal occupations. The World is Sick (2011 – early 2012): After moving to London/UK, Aladdin decided to give life to some elements of the Tantrum project. He started recording the instruments tracks in November 2011 at Parlour Studios (Napalm Death, Evile…) In December 2011, Aladdin got in contact with vocalist Joe Denby through a Musician’s website and both guys met later on during a concert of Blaze Bayley. After listening to the demo tracks, Joe was very enthusiastic about becoming part of the project and contributing with his vocals. He said: “This album covers most of the metal I grew up listening to”. The vocal sections were then recorded at both Parlour and Legacy studios in January 2012. Mix and mastering were completed at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden on February 2012 by Henrik Udd and Fredrik Nordstrom (known as producer of Dimmu Borgir, At the gates, In flames, Dark tranquillity, Arch enemy, Bring me the Horizon…). Line-up change and new album (2012 – 2013): Breed of Burden and “The World is Sick” EP officially took life on March 2012 when the EP was released and the lineup completed by guitarist Jay Howe, bassist Jim Ramses and drummer James Benardout but 2012 remained a stabilization year for Breed of Burden where the band went through few changes in order to set the best line-up that can kick-off the next phase. The band has also been gigging in the UK where they opened Blaze Bayley (ex-Iron Maiden) in London on May 2012. The band is now preparing their next album expected on Autumn 2013. Moroccan metal band based in London,United Kingdom. We've released our E.P. "The World is Sick" in Studio FREDMAN, Gothenburg, Sweden.
