Aran Buzzas

Aran Buzzas is a singer/songwriter from Missoula, MT who plays homegrown Montana folky tonk! Traditional and outlaw country sounds are mixed with a dash of Irish folk music in Aran's songs, which deal with real-life themes in an entertaining and relate-able way, often with a regional back-drop. Aggressive rhythm guitar playing, strong vocals, and lyrics that are both amusing and heart-felt characterize Aran's original songs. Released April 2015, Aran's new CD, MacDonald Pass, features a veritable “who's who” of Missoula's roots music scene. Featured players include Travis Yost (who also recorded and mixed), Sam Nasset, Gibson Hartwell, Grace Decker, Caroline Keys, and Andy Dunnigan, all of whom played on Aran's previous CD, 3 7 77. The Missoula Independent had this to say about the new CD: “The tone and style of MacDonald Pass would be just as welcome around a campfire as inside a rowdy tavern. He has played multiple breweries, distilleries, hot springs, bars and other venues from Kalispell to Hamilton, Libby to West Yellowstone and many points in between. He played at First Night Missoula, New Year’s Eve 2014, and is scheduled to perform again in 2015. He’s shared the stage with artists such as Shooter Jennings, Whitey Morgan & the 78's, Scott H. Biram, Charlie Parr, Mickey & the Motorcars, J.D. Wilkes and the Dirt Daubers, and many more, and was honored to perform at MoonRunners Music Festival in Chicago in both 2013 and 2015.
