Sinkane presents “Caparundi”
Friday, July 13th, 2018
7:00 PM
National Sawdust
80 N 6th St, Brooklyn, NY 11249
This show is the second of three curated by jazz fusion artist Sinkane.

Sinkane (born Ahmed Abdullahi Gallab in London, England) is a Sudanese-American musician who blends krautrock, prog rock, electronica, free jazz and funk rock with Sudanese pop. With six albums under his belt, his one-of-a-kind musical brand has earned him fever-pitch buzz, including an appearance on Conan O’Brien.

This special show takes audiences to the fictional location of Caparundi, a magical and colorful place where Africa, North America, South America, Asia, and the Caribbean blend together to create a new identity. All music and all peoples are welcome.

What an amazing show, far better than Turquaz, Sinkane should have been the headliner!

Second time seeing Sinkane live and they're always give it their all, even for a small crowd such as last night. More people should listen to his music and his live performances are even better.
