Hot off their tour, THE COPACETICS will take the stage for their 3rd consecutive year headlining the Newport Oyster Festival at Bowen's Wharf, as they share the stage with fan favorites like The Teledynes (11 AM - 1 PM) and The White-Eyed Lizard Band (1 PM - 3 PM). The Newport waterfront is the perfect venue to share in the island musical experience from Aruba, Jamaica, and Hawaii!

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL:

Bivalves by the water: Newport Oyster Festival at Bowen's Wharf, presented by Moët & Chandon. Taste your way around the Ocean State with oysters from over 13 different Rhode Island growers and enjoy them with the finest champagne and cocktails...all on the waterfront! What could be better than cool drinks and freshly harvested local oysters?

Newport Oyster Festival is a RAIN OR SHINE event. Tickets are $25 (plus handling fee) each day for Saturday May 19th and Sunday May 20th. Advance purchase tickets include six fresh, RI oysters and a beverage. Collect all at the main entrance check-in facing America's Cup Ave. Tickets for additional oysters will be sold on site for $2/oyster, cash/credit accepted. Six bands performing live music; shucking contest on Sunday at 3pm; Sweets tent in front of 22Bowen's; aquaculture & reef restoration educators on site from The Nature Conservancy, RI Coastal Resources Mgmt and others in a family-friendly, historic waterfront shopping and dining district. Learn how you're helping the ecosystem just by eating oysters!

*Sunday morning: wake up with Bloody Mary's (Belvedere Vodka & a bit of wonderful, warming whisky from Ardbeg). The morning melts into the afternoon Shucking Contest where a cold Whalers brew will go down nice.

Chef's best picks for this spring weekend will also be for sale as appetizer portions under the tents from The Wharf Pub & Matunuck Oyster Bar, and others...and they're not all oyster-dishes, so there's something for everyone.

Children 12 and under are free. No strollers or outside beverages allowed under gated tents, but are allowed throughout the rest of the wharf; service dogs only. Bag searches will be conducted at entry. Tickets at the door (sold at the Pilot House) will be $15, admission is based on available space under the tents, and do not include oyster or beverage tickets.
