EG Kight has played her southern fried, country flavored blues for packed DTLR shows before. This time, we teamed up with Cincy's glorious Memorial Hall to bring her to you in a setting like no other with Special Guest Maria Carrelli who will knock your Americana socks off!

In the mid 90s, after hearing Koko Taylor, critically acclaimed singer/songwriter EG Kight transitioned from touring as a country singer to a full-fledged blues/roots artist. And with her rich vocals, well-crafted songs, and inimitable sense of humor, she has since entertained on stages around the world. She has emerged as a preeminent voice in roots music, receiving various music industry nominations, including six for Female Artist of the Year, three for Song of the Year, and one for Album of the Year.

Kight's sound transcends musical boundaries, with a unique blend of blues, country, Americana, southern rock, jazz, gospel, and funk. Her music appeals to the masses and she has brought her diverse musical menu to various venues, even appearing on Nashville Now and NPR’s A Prairie Home Companion.

Kight lives on land in Dublin, Georgia that’s been in her family for four generations so her roots go deep. Early in her career shewas dubbed “The Georgia Songbird” for her velvety voice that’s a cross between Phoebe Snow, Bonnie Raitt, Wynonna and Patsy Cline. She has played shows with Gregg Allman, Phoebe Snow, Merle Haggard, Koko Taylor, Little Feat, Lee Roy Parnell, B.B. King, and Delbert McClinton.

Georgia Music Magazine writes that Kight is “a gentle and elegant woman who manages to channel Southern charm, sophistication and a fierce passion for the blues into one tremendously intoxicating voice.”

Maria Carrelli is a Cincinnati-born musician based out of the small but vibrant musical community that is Ludlow, Kentucky. Crafting folk based grass roots music, she enlightens her listeners by baring her soul through song. Her music is heavily influenced by old bluegrass standards, country music mainstays, and an essence of modern folk. She has played throughout the country, weaving her own musical path while showcasing her strong songwriting skills and energetic performance abilities. She’s opened for acts such as Billy Strings, Darrell Scott, Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band and Del McCoury.
