Perhaps best known as the writer and performer of the award-winning theme to BBC crime drama Wallander starring Kenneth Branagh, Emily Barker has forged a reputation as a supremely talented solo artist as well as recording with the likes of The Red Clay Halo, Vena Portae and Applewood Road. Her latest album Sweet Kind of Blue, recorded at Sam Phillips Recording Service in Memphis with Grammy-winning producer Matt Ross-Spang, seamlessly blends soul, blues, country and folk and won her the highly-prized UK Artist of the Year 2018 at the recent UK Americana Awards at the Hackney Empire.

Holly Macve’s tumultuous early life allowed her to develop a true songwriting talent to match her heavenly voice which can leave audiences spellbound while she delivers her country & western ballads. While still a teenager she was working in a Brighton cafe and singing at open mic events when Bella Union record label boss Simon Raymonde, a regular at the cafe, got wind of the astonishing young talent standing just a few feet away as he enjoyed his coffee.

Jade Bird got into the habit of writing a song a day while barely into her teenage years, a love of music combining with her background as an army child, constantly on the move and struggling to work out where was home. The product of years of honing her music was stunning debut release Something American, Jade’s distinctive voice delivering a fresh sound which blends country, pop, folk and blues to conjure an incredibly mature sound for one still so young.
