Welcome to Volume IV of The Stockbridge Sessions, a series of live music events hosted by the wonderful Cowan & Sons of Stockbridge.

For our fourth event, we are very excited to welcome Hannah Fisher and Sorren Maclean all the way from Mull for a rare intimate performance.

As frequent collaborators, Hannah and Sorren have racked up an impressive CV. When not writing, recording and performing together, both Hannah and Sorren tour extensively with Idlewild, Roddy Woomble, King Creosote and Karen Matheson. Both have released solo records in the past few years, with Sorren's debut album 'Winter Stay Autumn' being included in The Herald's 'Top 50 Scottish Albums of 2015'. Recent successes include sharing stages with the likes of Ricki-Lee Jones and Turin Brakes as well as performing at Glastonbury.

Other credits to Sorren's name include his work with virtuoso guitarist Finlay Wells and singer Laurie Cameron, as well as numerous compositional and production projects that have been used by the likes of Channel 4 and the BBC. Sorren has performed on over 20 albums, including upcoming releases from Nashville singer Eliza Lynn, Rura's Steven Blake, Andrew Mitchell from The Hazey Janes and the legendary King Creosote. his work as a solo artist has garnered praise from the likes of Clash Magazine, Folk Radio and BBC Radio Scotland.

A Finalist in the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2013, Hannah Fisher's fiddle playing has been described as 'one of the secret weapons of Scottish indie-folk'. (The Herald) Despite an exhaustive touring schedule, as well as her work with numerous mainstays of Scottish folk such as Dougie MacLean and Ross Ainslie, Hannah also performs with the Hannah Fisher band. Her 2013 release Watching Time saw her described as 'more than a match for some of the folk scene's better known champions' (Real Gone Rocks).

Needless to say we are over the moon for what promises to be an incredible evening!
