Blessed at a young age with tremendous musical inclinations and talents—along with the gift of crafting heartfelt and memorable songs—American songwriter, producer, musician, and singer John Kay has been creating, producing, and performing original music throughout North America and Europe for over two decades.

Drawing on various influences from many of the most iconic artists and producers in pop songwriting history—including Prince, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Queen, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Billie Joe Armstrong, Tom Petty, Peter Gabriel, Paul Simon, and even Antonio Vivaldi, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Ludwig van Beethoven—Kay uses his skills to manifest genre-defying progressive pop songs that are fun to sing out loud, easy to remember, and to which anyone can relate, regardless of age or background.

In March 2018, Kay debuted his most ambitious effort yet…John Kay & Who’s To Say.

With a long-term vision at the heart of the group’s core focus, John Kay & Who’s To Say (JK&WTS) positively impacts and unites others by delivering undeniable sensory experiences.

After taking two years to build a solid foundation, Kay (vocals, guitars) has forged a band of individuals—Steve Lupinski (bass), Brandon McNall (guitars), Angelo Coppola (drums), Sami Mikesell (piano, guitar, vocals), and Jason Rauschenberger (guitars)—who all share and embody the same seven core values: sacrifice, measurable growth, accountability, a reputation for excellence, time, energy, and respect.

JK&WTS live performances come in three varieties, depending on the number of "Bullfighters"—official JK&WTS fan club members—in a particular area: private house shows, small club shows, or large theater shows with his 17-piece progressive pop orchestra. With nationwide tours being planned for 2018, Detroit's best kept secret won't be unknown for much longer.
