RAOS Hall
Ripon, United Kingdom
According to their Facebook page, they are purveyors of psychedelic space rock, but they are not really rock they have a totally, unique amazing sound - mixture of guitars, drums and bass riffs overlayed with atmospheric, wooshing and warbling synth sounds. Psychedelia meets 'alternative'.

Here & Now had their origins as a loose group of jamming musicians who performed at the 1974 Windsor Free Festival, and are still going strong today. They played at the Watchfield Festival in 1976, alongside acts such as Traffic and Arthur Brown, and a year later, collaborated with members of Gong on a UK and French tour. The French part of the tour resulted in the brilliant live album Floating Anarchy 1977 under the name Planet Gong, which sold very well when it came out, and still continues to sell around the world today.
As well as touring, Here and Now were pioneers of the free festival movement, supporting all kinds of causes. They could be found playing at festivals all around the country, as well as conventional venues. They could be seen at the Midsummer Stonehenge Free Festival performing on midsummers eve, alongside other like- minded bands such as Hawkwind. They continue performing and touring regularly and are still festival favourites today.
They have over the years recorded a number of albums, all of differing styles, but all worth a listen! Here is a small sample of suggested listening:
