In this exclusive masterclass Simon will be demonstrating his Blues and Rock influences, chord and scale vocabulary, rhythm guitar techniques, improvisational concepts and harmonic insight for crafting fresh, contemporary lines that comprise his signature sound.
This Masterclass is organised into a series of six sections, each covering essential disciplines and techniques:
Section 1: Fundamentals
Simon presents essential principles for developing your individual musicality; crafting a melodic vocal styling; and learning how to listen, practice, play, emulate and free yourself of patterns.
Section 2: Chicago Blues
Simon takes you back to his Chicago and country blues roots with demonstrations of rhythm and lead work inspired by Robben Ford, Stevie Ray Vaughan and other early influences.
Section 3: Chords & Comping
Chord vocabulary, rhythm/comping techniques, movement and themes are some of Simon's favourite subjects and he leaves no stones unturned with an illuminating series of demonstrations and performances.
Section 4: Scales & Applications
