The Finnish rock band Disco Ensemble is calling it quits this year with a farewell tour. The bands last ever Central European shows will happen this autumn starting from Berlin on October 25th and ending in Hamburg on November 1st. On top of these shows, Disco Ensemble has announced several farewell shows in Finland. `Disco Ensemble has been our school, workplace and our leisure, but most of all an incredible adventure. There`s no particular drama involved, things just come to an end. The biggest glory and gratitude belongs to our fans. We will play our last gigs in their honor`, says the band.Often described as `the best live band in Finland` Disco Ensemble has played over 800 gigs in 24 different countries. In addition to Finland the band has been popular in Germany, playing numerous club-tours, festivals and in 2012 supporting the local household name Die Toten Hosen on their stadium gigs. The band has released six studio albums: Viper Ethics (2003), First Aid Kit (2005), Magic Recoveries (2008), The Island of Disco Ensemble (2010), Warriors (2012) and Afterlife (2017).
