About The Bands....

The End A.D.
The End A.D. Has members from some of the filthiest Philly bands to ever plague the city of brotherly love since the mid 80's.

With long resumes of recordings and tours from previous bands, Philadelphia’s Hellrad began on the backs of Bassist/vocalist Herb Jowett, and Guitarist Mike Hook. Beginning in 2013 as a five-piece, the group quickly established themselves as a powerhouse of dirty southern sludge. Shortly after releasing “Things Never Change” in 2015, the group began evolving, moving away from a standard sludge sound and eventually scaling down to a three-piece. Focusing on valuing tone over distortion, and volume over everyone, Hellrad’s sound became distinct in a sea of unoriginality. In early 2017 Benjamin Harris (formerly of Jail and Summer Dying) took over as drummer to round out the three-piece and soon after the group recorded “Counting Sins” with Dan Kishbaugh in the early summer. The 30 minute four song record has cast the group beyond their caustic drug over toned beginnings for a heavier, denser, and more focused assault, further contributing to the enormity of their sound.

The re-united, long running, powerhouse, Anthrophobia are back after eight years of retirement. Already turning heads again, the veterans have returned to elevate their self imposed quest for Rock, Riff, and performance perfection. Enveloping all things 'Phobia, with their own unique fusion of ROCK with touches of Metal, Punk, Stoner Rock, Noise, and a nod to the catchy hooks of classic Arena Rock Anthems, Frank Phobia (Throat) Brent Black (Guitar) Rob DiJoseph (Bass Guitar) and Dickie Delp (Drums) are back to rewrite the ending of their 23+ year existence with a new 2018 EP entitled 'Grind'. The record was produced by J. Robbins in Baltimore MD. The members of Anthrophobia are huge fans of J. as a musician, in Government Issue, Jawbox, and Burning Airlines and as producer for his work with Clutch, The Sword, Against Me! and Pentagram. The results of the sessions have resulted in the best sounding Anthrophobia songs ever recorded. Check them out: As a live unit, the band seem to be hitting their stride delivering intense, fun, explosive live sets, don't miss them, get out to this show early!
